Raymond Delmar Williams

	Raymond Delmar Williams, 64, of DuQuoin, passed away at 1:05 p.m. Monday, January 10, 2000 at his residence.
	Ray was a retired coal mine construction worker.  He will also be remembered for his woodworking skills.  Ray was a member of the Dowell Baptist Church.  On December 24, 1999 Ray was re-baptized by lifelong friend Rev. C.L. McKinnies.
	For many years, Southern Illinois enjoyed the pleasure of watching Ray pitch softball in various leagues around the area.  he was also a retired member of United Mineworkers Local 2117.
	He was born August 4, 1935 at Hallidayboro, the son of Curtis Hershal and Opal Delcic (Walters) Williams.  He married Myrtle Blanche Dorsey on December 29, 1956 in Perry County and she survives.
	In addition to his wife of DuQuoin, he is survived by two daughters, Terry (Leo) Young of Hobart, IN and Diana (Chris) Ryan of DuQuoin; four sons, Ray Williams, Jr. of DuQuoin, Ricky Dean (Mary) Williams of DuQuoin, Ronald Dale (Karen) Williams of DuQuoin and Randal Dee (Beth) Williams of DuQuoin; four brothers, Curtis Williams of DuQuoin, Donnie (Claudia) Williams of DuQuoin, Kenny (Teri) Williams of Hurst and Cecil Williams of Elkville; three sisters, Reba (Bill) Woodsides of DuQuoin, Pauline (David) Crofford of DuQuoin and Dorothy Johnson of Elkville; 18 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
	He was preceded in death by his parents, four sisters and four brothers.
	Memorial services were Thursday, January 13 at 11 a.m. at the Searby Funeral Home in DuQuoin with Rev. C.L. McKinnies officiating.
	Friends were able to call from 10 a.m. until time of services Thursday at the Searby Funeral Home.
	The family requested that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to the Hospice of Perry County.
